Hey, I’m Seth.
For more than 12 years, ministry has been a huge part of my life. I love the local church, I love developing leaders, and I love helping people discover and live out what God has called them to do.
I’ve had the opportunity to serve in ministry in some incredible places, lead large teams of staff and volunteers, preach and teach God's Word, develop ministry strategies, plan more events than I could possibly count, and walk alongside students, families, volunteers, and leaders through all kinds of seasons.
But some of the most important things ministry has taught me haven't come from the successes.
They've come from the mistakes, the hard conversations, the events that didn't go according to plan, the seasons when I was exhausted, the leadership decisions I would handle differently today, and the people who cared enough to invest in me along the way.
Those experiences are a big part of why I'm passionate about investing in other ministry leaders today.
MY STORY
I came to know Jesus as a child and sensed God's call to full-time ministry when I was 13 years old. What began as a calling eventually became the direction of my life.
I studied Pastoral Leadership at Liberty University and began serving in vocational ministry.
For eight years, I served in Student Ministry at Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. It was an incredible environment to learn ministry, leadership, teamwork, creativity, and what it takes to reach and disciple the next generation.
I later served as Student Minister at First Baptist Spartanburg in South Carolina, where I had the privilege of leading a student ministry serving hundreds of students and families alongside an incredible team of staff and volunteers.
Today, I serve with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Internet Evangelism, where part of my role includes developing, coaching, equipping, and encouraging volunteer leaders who are helping people encounter the Gospel online.
Different seasons. Different ministries. Different responsibilities. But one calling has remained consistent: Help people know Jesus and help leaders become who God has called them to be.
WHY COACHING?
Because I Know How Valuable It Is to Have Someone in Your Corner. Leadership can be lonely. You can spend your entire week caring for other people while very few people stop to ask how you're doing. You're preparing Sunday's message while planning next month's event. You're developing volunteers while navigating a difficult conversation. You're thinking about the future while trying to solve whatever happened last Wednesday. And sometimes you simply need someone outside your immediate ministry context who understands.
I've had people like that in my life. Pastors, mentors, friends, and leaders have challenged me, encouraged me, asked me difficult questions, helped me process decisions, and believed in me. I want to be that kind of person for other leaders.
That's why I offer one-on-one ministry coaching and the YTH Ministry Cohort. I'm not interested in pretending I have every answer. I've simply spent more than a decade doing ministry, learned a lot along the way, made plenty of mistakes, and want to use those experiences to help someone else.
